Amp Up Lead Coordinator
Carlos is the Program Coordinator for the AMP UP Program. He has worked with hundreds of system-involved youth throughout Manatee, Polk, Highlands, and Sarasota County. Carlos spends his days mentoring youth at schools, advocating for youth in court rooms, visiting youth who are incarcerated, helping navigate youth through probation, and helping guide youth towards their goals. He is passionate about creating spaces for these youth to succeed, create memories, and find purpose. Carlos believes that every teenager deserves somebody standing in their corner and is a fierce advocate for youth having mentors and community. Carlos is a TEDxBradenton Speaker, 2024 Marquis Who's Who Recipient, 2022 SRQ Magazine 35 under 35 Recipient, and serves on two local boards, Friendly City Foundation and at his local Juvenile Detention Center where he is the Board President.
